It is so much for for me to photograph a wedding when the bride has already been in 2 other weddings I’ve photographed. Such love and so much fun seeing all the families again and again! Tara and Rob had a gorgeous day last Friday. The ceremony at Sacred Heart Church in Greenwich was beautiful and perfect. I love the photos of Rob watching Tara walk down the aisle, he looks so happy! We quickly moved onto the reception at Greentree County Club in New Rochelle, NY. It was my first time shooting there and it was great. The timing we had for the photos on the beach was absolutely perfect. I also loved the little garden that we did family photos in, all the natural light bouncing around was a photographers dream! Its always so much fun for me when an old classmate chooses me to be their photographer, its nice as you already have a good working friendship built in. Although it started out a little stressful with an accident on where else but I95 delaying a few things, once the ceremony began the rest of the day went off without a hitch, well just one… Elise and Jeff are now off on their honeymoon, oddly to where last weeks couple went, I wonder if they’ll run into each other:)? Alisha and Steven got married last Friday and boy did we have fun. The weather cooperated beautifully as did the light and my subjects. I was given the choice to shoot the formals in a park or back on the lawn of Alisha’s parents house, how could I turn down shooting more at her house, what a special day for her and all the memories filled there, not to mention the great and versatile landscape! This was the 2nd wedding I was fortunate to photograph for Steven’s family and can only hope it continues with both, they were so fun to spend the day with and it never felt like work! So its not too often that I get to put the camera down and enjoy the wedding but last week I did just that. Two good friends of ours were married in the gorgeous King Family Vineyards just outside Charlottesville, VA. They could not have had a more beautiful day and to make all the gentlemen in suits and photographers all around happy a cloud came and sat right overhead for the whole ceremony! It kept the guys cool and the harsh shadows of their faces. I opted for my small Canon G12 that would fit in my clutch so I only captured a few but wanted to share them all with you. Ah the always important first dance. You can see the 2 photographers dressed all in black, yes that’s typically me, but this time I loved watching them work and can’t wait to see what they captured.
