Amy and Ryan – Sept 5th – Wainwright House – Rye, NY

We couldn’t have asked for better weather yesterday for Amy and Ryan’s wedding. Although I didn’t know Amy in HS we both went to Greenwich High and it was so fun to see some of her friends who I did now from way back when. Amy and Ryan met while attending college at St. Lawrence many, many of their friends who went there with them were able to make it to the wedding, making it a wicked fun party for me to photograph.

Amy and Ryan did a great job planning the day from one of my favorite locations to searching for hours on end to find a trolly to take them to and from the church. They were married at Resurrection Church in Rye, NY I church I know well from working there so many times and having had my best friend married there as well. The light is always beautiful in there and the side aisles along the alter area make it easy for me to get some great shots of the bride and groom.

The bridesmaids wore J.crew navy dresses while the groomsmen had on yellow pants made for some great eye popping color coordination:) And let’s not forget the feather’s Amy wore in her hair. Her dress designer Catherine a close family friend had suggested the idea and they looked so good.

Enjoy the sneak peak!

Newborn Photos Sept 1st

I had an adorable two and a half week old into the studio on Tuesday she was so cute and peaceful. She did such a great job and even gave me a few smiles! Enjoy the sneak peak.

Sarah and Marek’s Wedding – Shadow Lawn – Aug 29, 2009

Would you marry her on a train would you marry her in the rain? Okay so those might not be the exact vows that Marek and Sarah took yesterday but they were written to the tune of Dr. Suess and I just loved that. Sarah and Marek put so much thought into such an awesome wedding day, from the hand picked moss that went into the center pieces to the custom made table numbers made out of paint chip cards.

We did have a little rain but who can complain about that when everything else goes off without a hitch. The rain did let up so we could take some fun formals outside the Shadow Lawn Barn, what a great venue. David and Dan the owners of Shadow Lawn definitely have something unique on theirs hands and I can’t wait to work there again. Shadow Lawn is an old barn in High Falls, NY. The barn itself is an open floor plan and has all the cool old wood on the walls and floor giving it the great country wedding feel. The Artists Palate catered the event and they did an impeccable job, and the food YUM-IE. They did all the cooking out back which flooded the barn with the smell of smoke from the smoked beef engaging all the senses! Enjoy the sneak peak at the photos!

Brooklyn Bridge Shoot

Well its been a super long time since I’ve posted anything. My Facebook Fan page is getting the most recent but I’m goind to try and fix that. I went into the city last night to shoot my Oct. 24th couple we had so much fun, dodging bikers, and tourists:) You wouldn’t believe the people who stopped and stared you would have thought we or maybe they were famous. Enjoy!

Laura and Adam – West Park Winery – May 24, 2009

Laura and Adam had one of the most amazing weddings I’ve ever been a part of! Laura was determined to be married out on a hill in the Hudson Valley despite the impending weather. But what a 30min ceremony it made for, we had everything from dark clouds, wind, to rain, thunder, sun, a rainbow, and at the end the most glorious late afternoon light, a photographers dream. The guests were all great as they were patient in the rain some getting wet and some popping umbrellas. I can’t wait to shoot there again what an amazing location!

Lily at 3 weeks

One of my couples from a few years ago flew me to FL for an awesome new born shoot! Lily was 3 weeks old and so adorable! Here’s a sneak peak for all to enjoy!

Lily was named after the Lyli of the Valley so the photo below is the most fitting for her!

Sofie stops in

Another rescue dog Sofie came into the studio last week for a photo shoot. She was so happy to be there it brought on so many giggles by her owner, my assistant and myself. Photographing dogs is such a fun time you never know what they’re going to do and they each have such amazing personalities of their own. Take a sneak peak at some of Sofie’s photos below.

April 4th Wedding at Greenwich Country Club

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of being a part of Courtney and Charlie’s Wedding. They were a referral from another family and Courtney and I went to HS together so it was a ton of fun. Here’s a sneak peak of MY fav photos.

Laura and Adam – NYC

I met Laura and Adam after work one night last week. We took a few shots before the sun went down and then played a little with some off camera flash. Their wedding is going to be in the country so this is a nice contrast to the photos we’ll get on their wedding day!

Puppies take precendence!

I’ve had 3 adorable dogs in my studio this week, all rescue dogs for a personal project I’m working on.

First came barking buddy I thought the restaurant downstairs was going to complain but we made it through the shoot okay. Then I had my own lovie Cedar back because we all know she’s my star. And today 10 week old Callie bounced around the studio. Callie was the most challenging since she’s still learning to sit but I love all her action shots! Have fun peaking.

Here’s Callie

My lovie Cedar

And the unforgettable Barking Buddy.
